The Impact Blogging By Dennis Blake OLY

The consultant

I am an athlete – someone said, “really!” Better yet, I said, I am an Olympian athlete – someone said, “get out of here!” “You are joking, right!” I said, the truth is; I’m more than that, I am a two-time Olympian “seriously! You got to be kidding me” those are words I commonly heard. I went a little further still and said, as a matter of fact, I won a bronze medal, “No way!” That’s so cool, I’m going to look you up on google. It was those responses I got when I humbly mentioned my athletic achievements – I figured it out – that if my story makes people used those kind words then I need to let the world know so that God can be pleased of His magnificent blessing towards me.

The life coach

Dennis Blake OLY, the two-time Olympian from the Parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, was eight years old when he formulated three goals: to be on television, to run in the Olympics, and to win an Olympic medal. Raised by a single, uneducated, and deaf mother who clean houses for a living, he was always the fastest boy in the class.

By age 20, that speed launched him to America and a college scholarship. His mother, stunned and surprised, laughed in disbelief at his golden ticket abroad. Soon he would miss her affectionate smile and unique essence. Blake’s life was like a trampoline, yet his obstacles served as springboards, launching him to the heights of track and field. Click

Mentoring Thru Sports Professionals

Customer support

Mentoring Thru Sports Professionals (MTSP) is a faith-based organization founded by Dennis & Barbara Blake that uses sports to help disenfranchised schools in challenged communities. It's mission is to encourage, motivate, inspire, and provide hope to the youths in disenfranchised communities through sports engagement. The organization uses sports as the backdrop to encourage kids to get involved and participate in daily activities. By using sports personalities and other professionals to share their personal experiences, kids are better able to understand and believe that they can be great citizens and use the values of sports to pull themselves out of poverty and adversity.
